Picture a world where 1313 Mockingbird Lane lies just north of the Mason-Dixon Line. In this world, the raw energy of rock ’n’ roll meets the eerie charm of Transylvanian tombs, and vampires commiserate with werewolves in a back-alley bar. Welcome to Fangs & Twang—an Ypsilanti-based trio whose members each have decades of musical experience and more than ten years of band chemistry.
Founded in 2014 with a theatrical concept, Fangs & Twang has evolved into a genre-blending powerhouse that fuses gothic horror, cryptozoology, classic rock, Americana, and outlaw country into a high-energy live show. Their eclectic sound delivers both humor and substance.
While earlier records revel in mythical mayhem, their latest LP You Monster (2023) also confronts the real monsters among us—polarization, misinformation, and broken discourse. The album’s title-track video earned Best Animated Music Video at the 2024 Michigan Music Video Awards.
