Premium Rat's sound can be loosely defined as alternative rock, taking inspiration from all over.
They are influenced by a myriad of sounds, from the grunge and pop-punk waves of the 90s
and 2000s to the queer and femme-led singer-songwriter, folk, and indie rock movements of today.
As of early 2025, Premium Rat plays as a 4-piece with Kim on drums, Osprey on bass, and Lior
on electric and acoustic violin. The introduction of the violin, in addition to a growing investment
in the band's live chops, has meant that Premium Rat's sound has evolved significantly since
the first album was released. They are currently hard at work in the studio making album #2 -
featuring the other band members in the studio for the very first time!
