The Pherotones bring their signature blend of cocktail-jazz and jam-band back to Chelsea, live at The Rumpus Room on Friday, January 2. This Ann Arbor favorite began as “Giancarlo and the Wedding Rehearsal Band,” playing smooth jazz for wedding receptions before evolving into a beloved creative force known for reimagining both jazz standards and modern hits with untaimed flair.
Featuring Brennan Andes (bass), Ross Huff (trumpet and flugelhorn), Giancarlo Aversa (piano), Wesley Fritzemeier (drums), and Jordan Adema (electric violin); The Pherotones are masters of improvisation and spontaneous groove. Their chemistry is undeniable - sophisticated, unpredictably entertaining, and tons of fun.
